Studying Atlantic Shark Populations
I am conducting several research projects off the coast of North Carolina to better understand Atlantic shark populations. This work includes the UNC longline survey, microbial sampling of shark species, and more. Ultimately, I am interested in identifying potential spatial and temporal shifts caused by climate change. I am also leading a study working with local fishermen to better understand shark depredation rates along the NC coast. If you are a fisherman interested in participating by collecting samples, please reach out to me on my contact page.
